The DB2 ECCR connected to a DB2 Version 7 or earlier system and found that some of the DB2 catalog tables that it uses are not defined with the DATA CAPTURE CHANGES attribute. The preceding message PWXEDM177540W reports that some tables do not have this attribute, and message PWXEDM177398E identifies the tables that are missing the attribute.
The DB2 ECCR requires that tables have the DATA CAPTURE CHANGES attribute to migrate and connect to DB2 Version 8 or later systems.
Processing continues.
To migrate to DB2 Version 8, add the DATA CAPTURE CHANGES attribute to the DB2 catalog tables that require it. Any catalog tables that currently have the DATA CAPTURE CHANGES attribute will lose the attribute during the migration process. Remember to reset the DATA CAPTURE CHANGES attribute for these tables after migrating to DB2 Version 8 and again after migrating to DB2 Version 8 new‑function mode.
