The PowerExchange Logger issues this message listing the contents of the event marker. The following events cause this message to be issued:
  • The DB2 ECCR sees a table space QUIESCE and sends an event marker to the PowerExchange Logger. The variables
    db2_rba
    and
    db2_lrsn
represent the point in the DB2 log at which the QUIESCE is seen. If the DB2 logs are for a DB2 data-sharing system, then the value is a LRSN. Otherwise, the value is a RBA.
  • The Adabas ECCR finishes processing a PLOG. The variables
    date
    and
    time
represent the date and time at which the Adabas ECCR finished processing the PLOG.
No response is required.
You can use the EDP Logger RBA and Sequence number values to construct a restart point for change data capture extraction processes. For more information on providing restart points for extraction processes, see the
PowerExchange CDC Guide for z/OS
