This message is issued when the PowerExchange Logger has attempted to send a command to the Post‑Log Merge task, but the PUT operation to XCF failed. The command will have been either a quiesce (QUIESCL command) or a resume (RESUMEL) command.
The name of the PowerExchange Logger (
logger_id
), the specific command that was being attempted, and the return code (
return_code
) and reason code (
reason_code
) that resulted, are all included in the text of the message. The return and reason codes for this message, which are generated in EDMXXCF, are not currently documented.
Processing continues.
If the command being sent was a quiesce, the PowerExchange Logger is not quiesced. This in turn means that the Post‑Log Merge task will have to continue to merge data from this PowerExchange Logger, even though there may not be any new user data being logged.
If the command was a resume, the PowerExchange Logger will not leave the quiesced state. This which means that ECCRs that try to connect to the PowerExchange Logger is delayed (will not get a response to a signon request) until the problem is resolved.
Investigate the reason for the failure in the PUT operation, using appropriate operating system documentation, along with any other messages that may have been issued in conjunction with this problem. You may need to refer to messages that may have been issued by the corresponding Post‑Log Merge task for further information on what happened to cause the error in sending the command. To resolve the problem, it may be necessary to recycle either the Post‑Log Merge task or the PowerExchange Logger. If you cannot correct the problem, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.
