EDM Logger
command
command {failed|completed} with return code=
rc
, and reason code=
reason
The specified command completed or failed with the specified return and reason codes. The command is one of the following commands:
  • ARCHIVE_LOG
  • DEFINE
  • DEFINE_LOG
  • DEL_LOG
  • DISPLAY
  • END
  • PRINT
  • RESOLVE_INDOUBT
  • STOP
  • TRACE
If the return and reason codes are 0, processing continues. Otherwise, although PowerExchange Logger processing continues, the specific command processing ends.
If the return and reason codes are 0, no response is required.
Otherwise, check the JES2 log for previous messages from the PowerExchange Logger for pertaining to the specified command.
If this message is a result of an ARCHIVE_LOG command, you must correct the problem that is preventing the PowerExchange Logger from performing the archiving process normally. This situation might be due to such things as space availability or catalog problems. When the problem is corrected, other waiting off‑load tasks have completed, and another active log is available, reissue the ARCHIVE_LOG command for the current active log. If you do not correct the error, the PowerExchange Logger will issue warning messages as available active log data space reaches critically low levels. A final message indicates that there is no active log and the PowerExchange Logger stops processing until active log space is made available.
