This message is issued when an agent attempts to connect to the PowerExchange Logger but some type of error occurs while trying to process the connection. The PowerExchange Agent may either be a change capture agent (an ECCR) which supplies data to be logged or a log reader agent which receives data that has been logged.
The message text includes the type of the PowerExchange Agent, the name of the PowerExchange Agent (
xcf_member_name
), the name of the PowerExchange Logger (
logger_id
), as well as a return code (
return_code
) and reason code (
reason_code
) that identifies the problem that was encountered.
The connection request is refused. The PowerExchange Agent that requested the connection is sent a negative response to its Signon request. This will typically result in a failure in the process that attempted to connect to the PowerExchange Logger.
Investigate the reason for the failure in the Signon, using any other messages that may have been issued, along with appropriate operating system documentation, if necessary. It may be necessary to restart the log reader or change capture agent, if it failed as a result of the connection refusal. If you cannot correct the problem, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.
