Log record from IMS FLD call for complex table. Reg=<
registration_name
> DBD=<
dbd_name
> Segment=<
low_level_segment_name
>
The IMS log-based ECCR found a change record created by an IMS FLD call for the
low-level
segment in a complex table. Because of IMS restrictions, IMS does not capture the parent data. None of the parent data other than the concatenated key (CCK) will be available at extraction time. This problem occurs with IMS 13 SPE FLD CALL SUPPORT.
The ECCR continues processing.
For PowerExchange to apply change data to the target, in the PowerExchange Navigator, you must select the
Generate CCK Columns
option in the data map for the complex table.
To get the data from the parent segments when the ECCR encounters a change record for a low-level segment, perform one of the following actions:
  • Change the application program that issues the FLD call to use a REPL call instead. IMS then captures data from the parent segments. You can continue to use the registered complex table.
  • Do not use the complex table. Register each segment separately. When a FLD call modifies the low-level segment, use the contents of the CCK field to perform IMS lookups that get the data from the parent segments.
