Warning. Slow unblocked record format is being used.
This warning message reports that PowerExchange Condense is using the RECFM=VS parameter to create unblocked, variable-length records in partial condense files on z/OS. This record format can cause severe processing delays. PowerExchange Condense uses the RECFM=VS format when the logical record length is greater than 32756 bytes. When the logical record length is 32756 bytes or less, PowerExchange Condense uses the RECFM=VB parameter to create blocked, variable-length records, which are more efficient.
The system is able to split row data greater than 32756 bytes in length into multiple records that have smaller, more efficient sizes such as 29 KB.
PowerExchange Condense processing might run much more slowly.
In the PowerExchange Condense CAPTPARM configuration member, change the CONDF_PART_LRECL parameter value to 32756 bytes or less.
