The format utility (EDMLUTL0) for the PowerExchange Logger active log data sets has abended because the size of the active log data set it was provided exceeds the maximum size allowed for active log data sets. Due to restrictions imposed by the DSPSERV function, the maximum number of 4k blocks in the data set is 524,288. This corresponds to 2,912 cylinders, for a 3390 device, or 3,495 cylinders, for a 3380 device.
The format utility ends.
Delete the active log data set, and recreate it with a smaller number of cylinders, then rerun the format utility.
