Create and Use an AWS Security Group

Create an AWS security group to secure communications between the domain, Qubole, and AWS, and use it in domain, cluster, and VPC configuration.

Create an AWS security group for the Big Data Management on Qubole implementation.

Configure the security group with the following permissions:

To enable the cluster to use SSH to communicate with Informatica domain nodes, open all traffic for SSH.

For the domain host EC2 instance, enable all TCP communication for requests from domain clients.

To determine the IP address of a client VM, log into the VM and use the command

whatsmyip

Provide the name of the security group in the "Persistent Security Groups" property in the Advanced properties panel when you run the Qubole cluster creation wizard.
