When a PowerExchange Listener on a z/OS system starts, this message identifies the memory limit and the available memory above the 16-megabyte line. PowerExchange reads the information from the local data area (LDA) DSECT. The memory limit comes from the LDAREGRQ field, and the available free memory comes from the LDAELOAL field.
Processing continues. The Listener stops accepting incoming connections if there is not enough available memory to start a task.
No action is required. If memory issues occur, you can set JCL REGION size appropriately for the workload to prevent LSQA shortages. Informatica recommends setting the region size to the maximum value of the PWX-00647
memory_available
amount after subtracting 80 MB to prevent LSQA shortages. For example, if
memory_available
is 1580M then REGION=1500M is recommended.
