xEDP-ABORT Command

xEDP-ABORT Command

Overrides the CCERR value in the EDMSDIR default options module with the ABEND value.
While the ABEND value is in effect, if the PowerExchange Logger terminates, online BMP or MPP transactions pseudo-abend with the IBM U4094 abend code. A
pseudo-abend
 means that the IMS control program transfers the abend condition to the online transaction that was responsible for the abnormal condition and then continues to service other message regions.
The ABEND value remains in effect until a process or command terminates the IMS control region or until a
x
EDP_CONTINUE command supersedes the
x
EDP_ABORT command.

Syntax

Use the following command syntax:

The
x
 variable is the CRC value that you specified when configuring the IMS external subsystem of the ECCR.
