IBM i Installation

IBM i Installation

PowerExchange 10.5.2 introduces the following changes to the IBM i installation:
  • PowerExchange for IBM i now allows for multiple listeners to run concurrently from the same environment. By default, a PowerExchange listener communicates with the server through a message queue called LISTENER, which you create during the installation process. Additional listeners require a message queue to be created before you start the listener.
For more information, see the "Installing and Upgrading PowerExchange on IBM i" chapter and "Appendix C: Manual Installation on IBM i" in the
    PowerExchange Installation and Upgrade Guide
    .
  • The FILE_MAPPED_MEMORY statement in the DBMOVER configuration file is now required for PowerExchange on IBM i. The statement points to an existing directory on the IBM i system that you create with a QShell command.
