Setting up a self-service cluster

Setting up a self-service cluster

After you create a Kubernetes cluster, set up your cloud environment so that the Secure Agent can connect to the cluster and use it as a self-service cluster in your organization.
Complete the following tasks:
  1. Complete the prerequisites. Allow the cluster nodes to access necessary domains, verify that you have the necessary privileges, and learn about resource access in the cloud environment.
  2. Download and install a Secure Agent. Set up the agent on a virtual machine that meets the minimum resource requirements.
  3. Create a user-managed service account. Assign permissions to the service account so the Secure Agent can run mappings on a self-service cluster.
To use a self-service cluster on AWS, perform additional steps, including configuring cluster authentication.
